This is “How To” guide for my blog readers who still having issue with fonts. Since last month, I started using new font which is followed Unicode Standards, also knows as Unicode fonts. So most of readers with only Zawgyi font available will be hard to read my articles. So this is introducing Firefox plug in which can convert Unicode fonts to Zawgyi without needing to install any Unicode fonts. This plug in can convert Zawgyi to Unicode as well. Please make sure you are doing these steps on Mozilla Firefox browser.
Firstly, Please visit this link http://goo.gl/rPoMs It will go to Than Lwin Soft website. There you can see instruction in both English and Burmese (Unicode). Click on the tab named “Install ထည့်သွင်းခြင်း” then click on “myanmar-converter-0.4.2.xpi” which is latest version.
Pop up like this will appear on your Firefox window like picture above. and Click allow.
After plug in installation (download) is done. Restart your Firefox browser.
Now you can use your firefox plug in to convert my blog’s Unicode font to Zawgyi by simply selecting the text > right click > Myanmar Unicode Converter > Convert selection from Unicode to Zawgyi. That’s all. This plug in can check Burmese spelling too but it’s not working on Mac. The best of this solution is that you don’t need to be admin user to install this plug in. So this solution should work on Internet Cafe, Public library’s PCs. It can even work on Firefox portable version too. Hopefully, this guide will help. Please let me know if you’re still facing errors on these steps. Thanks
Nyi, is there any place where i can install that plugin instead of Thanlwinsoft? Because i can’t open http://www.thanlwinsoft.org currently. I am sure it’s not banned but maybe because of internet connection.
